Speaking after receiving the certificate, Hon. Okafor expressed profound appreciation to the national leadership of the NDC for the confidence reposed in him. He particularly commended the party leadership for its support, fairness and commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election.

He described the Certificate of Return as not merely a political endorsement but a call to greater service, responsibility and accountability, pledging to uphold the party’s ideals and work towards fulfilling the aspirations of its members and supporters.

Addressing Ndi Oyi and Ayamelum, Wiper reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful representation, inclusive governance and the delivery of tangible democratic dividends, assuring constituents that their welfare and developmental needs would remain at the centre of his legislative agenda.

He reiterated his political vision encapsulated in the popular slogan, “Nigeria Must Be OK; Oyi-Ayamelum Must Be OK,” stressing the need for responsive leadership, effective representation, accountability and renewed attention to the challenges confronting the constituency.

The NDC flag bearer also expressed confidence in the party’s national leadership vision under its presidential candidate, His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing their ticket as a strategic platform for building a New Nigeria founded on good governance, national unity, accountability and inclusive development.

With the presentation of the Certificate of Return, Wiper’s campaign for the Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency seat moves into another phase as he seeks the mandate of the people to represent their interests at the National Assembly.
