Father’s Day: Soludo Calls for Responsible Leadership as First Lady Celebrates Him

The Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, joined family members, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the occasion of the 2026 International Father’s Day.

Speaking during the celebration, Governor Soludo emphasized the critical role fathers play in shaping families and society, urging them to provide responsible leadership both at home and in their various spheres of influence.
According to the governor, strong family values anchored on responsible fatherhood are essential for building a peaceful, stable, and harmonious society. He noted that fathers must lead by example, instill discipline, and promote moral values that will positively impact future generations.
The event attracted prominent personalities from within and outside government circles, including former Governor of Anambra State and former Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige (Onwa), as well as the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Professor Kate Omenugha, and her husband.
The gathering provided an opportunity to celebrate fatherhood and recognize the sacrifices, dedication, and leadership roles of fathers in nation-building and family development.
