The endorsement was announced at the group's inaugural meeting held in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area. The gathering brought together professionals, business leaders, community stakeholders and opinion leaders from the five local government areas that make up Abia North Senatorial District. Speaking after the meeting, the group's spokesman and former Secretary to the Abia State Government, Prof. Mkpa Agu Mkpa, said the primary objective of the alliance is to promote and sustain good governance in the state beyond the current administration. According to him, participants unanimously praised Governor Otti's achievements in critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, security and public service reforms. Mkpa stressed that members of the group were not motivated by political appointments or personal interests but were committed to ensuring that the gains recorded under the present administration are preserved for future generations. He added that the stakeholders resolved to mobilise eligible voters across the district to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections and support candidates aligned with the governor's development agenda at both the state and federal levels. The group also pledged to work towards preserving the governance model introduced by the Otti administration beyond 2031, with the aim of ensuring continuity in development. Businessman and proprietor of Ahudiyannem Queens Football Club, Robert Onyeani, said improved road infrastructure in Abia North has encouraged investment and enhanced commercial activities in the area. He noted that the reconstruction of major roads influenced his decision to relocate his football clubs and hotel business to Abiriba, describing the development as evidence of the administration's impact on the local economy. Also speaking, the host of the meeting, Chief Ebueme Ezikpe, said the gathering deliberately excluded career politicians and individuals seeking political appointments. He explained that the participants were united by a shared desire to support quality leadership and ensure sustained development in Abia State. Ezikpe added that, beyond backing Governor Otti's re-election bid, the group also intends to support credible candidates who share the administration's vision for continued progress at both the state and national legislative levels.
