Speculation over the promotion of the fight increased after Fury hinted at a major announcement involving Dana White, president of Zuffa Boxing, a Saudi-backed organisation aiming to challenge boxing’s traditional promotional structure. Although Fury later confirmed he would be promoted by Alalshikh, Warren clarified that Queensberry Promotions remains fully involved. “My understanding is that he is being promoted by Turki and by us. That’s how it is, and I’m very comfortable with that,” Warren said. “At the moment, our team is working on arranging an interim fight before he meets AJ in late November. Of course, I’ll be involved. I am with him.” Meanwhile, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has dismissed suggestions that Zuffa Boxing will have a role in the event, insisting that Joshua’s contract requires the fight to take place in the United Kingdom.
