Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that the club has submitted an offer to Atlético Madrid in an attempt to sign forward Julián Álvarez.
Speaking on the proposed transfer, Laporta said Barcelona is waiting for Atlético Madrid to respond positively to the bid.
"We have presented an offer for Julián Álvarez. We hope Atlético Madrid will review it and decide to accept," he said.
The potential move would represent a significant addition to Barcelona's attacking options if an agreement is reached between the two clubs.
