Antonio Rudiger has committed his future to Real Madrid, signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 2027.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Spanish giants confirmed: “Real Madrid and Antonio Rudiger have agreed the extension of our player’s contract, who will stay at the club until June 30, 2027.”
The 33-year-old German defender joined Madrid from Chelsea in 2022 after previous spells with Stuttgart and Roma. Since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu, Rudiger has become a key figure in the club’s defence, helping Los Blancos win La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in 2024, as well as the Copa del Rey in 2023.
The contract renewal comes during a busy summer for Madrid. Following two consecutive seasons without a major trophy, club president Florentino Perez appointed Jose Mourinho as head coach earlier this month.
Madrid have also strengthened their squad with the signing of Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, while reports continue to link the club with Bernardo Silva and Denzel Dumfries. The Spanish giants are also expected to secure the signing of Ibrahima Konate when his contract with Liverpool expires.
Rudiger’s extension provides a major boost for Madrid as they look to rebuild and challenge for silverware in the coming seasons.
