Three teams knocked out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup
At least three countries have now been eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the latest round of group-stage matches.
🇹🇳 Tunisia
Tunisia became the latest team to crash out after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Japan. The North Africans had earlier lost 5-1 to Sweden in their Group F opener, leaving them with zero points from two matches. With only one game remaining, the Carthage Eagles can no longer qualify for the Round of 32.
ðŸ‡ðŸ‡¹ Haiti
Haiti's hopes ended following a 3-0 loss to Brazil in Philadelphia. The Caribbean side remain bottom of Group C with no points from two games and an inferior goal difference, making qualification mathematically impossible. Their final match against Morocco will have no impact on progression.
🇹🇷 Türkiye
Türkiye also bowed out after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Paraguay in Group D. Having lost both of their opening matches, the Turkish side are stuck on zero points and can no longer advance to the knockout stage.
With Tunisia, Haiti and Türkiye eliminated, the race for places in the Round of 32 continues for the remaining teams as the group stage enters its decisive phase.
